1 lb butter
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
4 cups cake flour
2/3 cup milk
2 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 325 and grease & flour tube or bunt pan.
Cream butter with sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well between additions.
Alternate adding flour and milk, beating on low after each addition. Add vanilla.
Pour into pan and bake for 30 minutes at 325. Turn oven down to 300 and bake 1 hour longer.
